I had my house on the market for about two and a half months. We had some showings, but no offers. My husband had already started a new job out of state so we really needed to sell our house. I wanted to make sure the house was showing as well as possible so I decided to have a stager come in for a consultation. Judy Pelinski was referred to me by a real estate agent.

One of the main reasons I wanted Judy to do a staging consultation was that I was concerned that some of the flooring in my home needed to be replaced. Replacing the flooring would have cost over $3000.00. Judy toured the outside and inside of my home and made many recommendations that cost me absolutely nothing. Examples include repositioning a sofa table, moving a lamp from one room to another and storing a piece of furniture in the basement. She also made some recommendations that cost relatively little such as buying decorative pillows for a punch of color.

By making little to no cost staging improvements to our home I was able to make it look like a model home without having to replace expensive flooring. Our new pictures look great on Realtor.com and I’m sure Judy’s recommendations will enable us to sell our home faster and at a better price in this competitive housing market.
